Whirling into Faith - Stone Lithography

My 2009 stone litho, “Whirling into Faith” has not only been accepted into Moraine Valley Community College’s Gallery 2010 exhibit but also awarded an honorable mention! The show will be up all summer. Click on the link to learn more information like gallery hours and so on.

  • Sister Solina

  • Recently the SXU Gallery hosted a retrospective of Sister Solina Hicks’ paintings. Sister Solina was instrumental in starting the art department at Saint Xavier, and her tenacity, lovely personality (and painting!) continue at 97. She was such a joy to meet and talk to; most all of the seniors loved hearing her speak about her work.

  • The final 48 hours are upon the seniors as the installation date of Wednesday looms over our heads. I have been working on painting my pedestals so my studio is covered in paint, so here is a picture of the print studio, overtaken by Rachael.

  • Opus Mockups

    SXU’s literary/arts magazine, The Opus, publishes student submitted poetry, prose, art and design. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the publication. At the last minute I was asked to design a cover for the current publication, and this is what I came up with.

    I kept the colors kind of minimal as I’m unsure what the inside spread design looks like. It can be modified later.
